Current Issues in the Adjudication of Land Disputes
On 17 March 2025, Denys Valentynovych Soltus, Assistant to the President of the Krasyliv District Court of Khmelnytskyi Region, delivered a guest lecture to fourth-year part-time students of specialty 081 Law on "Current Issues in the Adjudication of Land Disputes". The lecture examined practical challenges arising when courts consider land disputes and the specifics of the burden of proof. Particular attention was paid to the role of the prosecutor in such cases and the conditions and grounds for the prosecutor's involvement in protecting the interests of the state. The lecture also addressed effective methods of protecting rights in land disputes in light of the case law of the Supreme Court, as well as disputes concerning land lease agreements – their conclusion, term, state registration of lease rights and grounds for termination. The lecture had a distinctly practical focus and was illustrated with numerous examples from case law.
