Achievements

The department's lecturers supervise doctoral research within the department's subject areas. In 2022, two PhD dissertations were successfully defended by postgraduate students of the department – Olha BORTNYK (supervisor – Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Nadiia CHUDYK-BILOUSOVA) and Sabina RATUSHNA (supervisor – Doctor of Law, Professor Ivan KOSTIASHKIN).
The department plays an active role in expanding the range of study programmes in new specialties at the University. In particular, in 2017 the department initiated the launch of a new bachelor's programme in specialty 232 "Social Security", which has been successfully implemented at the University; Professor Nadiia CHUDYK-BILOUSOVA acted as the guarantor of the "Bachelor of Social Security" programme. In 2022, the first cohort of bachelors in this specialty graduated and received exceptionally high praise from the examination board chaired by stakeholder representative Serhii KINDZERSKYI, Director of the Executive Directorate of the Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine in Khmelnytskyi Region.
The department's lecturers have been honoured with awards from the Khmelnytskyi City Council, the Khmelnytskyi Regional State Administration, the Khmelnytskyi Regional Council, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine; in particular, Alla ANDRUSHKO, Iryna MYKHAILOVA and Yaroslav BLIAKHARSKYI were awarded certificates of honour of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and a badge of honour, and Ivan KOSTIASHKIN was awarded the "Excellence in Education" badge.
The department's scientific publications have been recognised at the Saint Volodymyr Competition for the best scientific and legal publication; in particular, the monograph "Legal Support for the Social Function of Land Ownership Rights in Ukraine" was declared the winner in the category "Land Law, Environmental Law, Natural Resources Law, Environmental Safety Law".
