Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law provides training in the State language (Ukrainian) for foreigners and stateless persons (who have completed secondary education) at the preparatory department courses. Students have the opportunity to learn the Ukrainian language and prepare for admission to higher education institutions in Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law or  other higher education institutions of Ukraine.

Peculiarities of admission to study at the Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law of foreigners and рersons without citizenship

1. Receiving an invitation to study

To receive an invitation to study at Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law, you need:
1.1. To inform us about your desire to study at Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law. 
To send an email to our email address (info [at] univer.km.ua, dep_foreign [at] univer.km.ua) with the the documents listed below.

THE LIST OF DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR FOREIGN CITIZENS TO RECEIVE AN INVITATION FOR STUDY (REMOTELY):
1. The scanned copy of international passport.
2. The copy of High School Diploma/Certificate* with attachment
3. The copy of Bachelor’s Degree Diploma* with the attachment **.
4. Consent to processing the personal data (personal data.pdf).
* With the translation into Ukrainian/English, if the certificate of complete general secondary education is not in English.
** For obtainig Master`s Degree.

1.2. To pay for a set of services for information and consulting support of the state enterprise "Ukrainian State Center for International Education" authorized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on the website http://intered.com.ua/pay
1.3. To apply for a visa at the Embassy of Ukraine abroad on the website https://mfa.gov.ua/en/consular-affairs
1.4. To apply to the University and to pass entrance exams, including remotely, in the country of your origin.

In 2023 in accordance with the Admission Rules for higher education at Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law named after Leonid Yuzkov, the admission of applicants and enrollment of foreign citizens in the educational degrees "Bachelor", "Master" takes place within the specified terms:
from 09/01/2023 to 11/01/2023;
from 01/01/2024 to 03/01/2024.

Admission of foreign citizens to study under language training programs for foreign citizens is carried out throughout the year.
Admission of foreigners for postgraduate study is carried out throughout the year.

2. Admission to Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law 
To become a student of Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law, you need: 
2.1. to submit the following documents to the Admissions Committee / educational department for work with foreign students (main building of the university, office ___) (To enter an educational institution, a foreigner PERSONALLY submits an application to the relevant structural subdivision / admissions committee in paper form   (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine of 01.11.2013 № 1541 “Some issues of organization of enrolment and training (internship) of foreigners and stateless persons” https://zakon.rada.gov.ua/laws/show/z2004-13#Text):

1) a document (original and its copy) on the previously obtained educational (educational-qualification) level, on the basis of which the admission is carried out; 
2) annex (original and its copy) to the document on previously obtained educational (educational-qualification) level, on the basis of which admission is carried out (if any); 
3) academic certificate issued by a foreign / Ukrainian educational institution (in case of transfer or readmission to study, starting from the second year, an academic certificate is attached);
 4) the original and a copy of the document, which contains information about the content of the curriculum at the previous level of higher education, credits, duration of study and academic performance (in the absence of this information in the annex to the education document), to enter a master’s program, if the lack of this information makes it impossible to recognize the qualification from the document; 
5) a copy of the passport document of a foreigner or a document certifying a stateless person; 
6) a health insurance policy, unless otherwise provided by international treaties of Ukraine; 
7) 4 photographs 30 × 40 mm in size; 
8) a copy of the certificate of a foreign Ukrainian (if any); 
9) foreigners entering academic mobility programs, submit documents approved by the rules of admission to higher education institutions and / or provided by international requirements programs and / or agreements under which academic mobility is implemented.

The documents specified in subparagraphs 1-5 of this paragraph must be translated into Ukrainian with a notarized translation. 
The documents specified in subparagraphs 1-4 of this paragraph must be certified in the country of issue in the manner officially used in that country for such certification, and legalized by the relevant foreign institution of Ukraine, unless otherwise provided by international treaties of Ukraine.

To enter postgraduate studies, in addition to the specified list, you must submit a research proposal in the chosen scientific specialty or a duly certified list of published scientific works and inventions in Ukrainian or English. 
To enter the doctoral program, an additional thematic plan of the dissertation work for obtaining a scientific degree and a copy of the diploma on awarding the corresponding scientific degree are submitted in Ukrainian or English. 
All foreign documents of secondary education must be recognized in Ukraine in accordance with applicable law (before the beginning of the 2nd semester)

2.2. pass entrance tests:
 
 • for knowledge of the language of instruction at a level sufficient for mastering the material (English, Ukrainian); 
• pass entrance tests in specialized disciplines, depending on the chosen specialty (mathematics).
If foreigners are in need for language training to obtain a relavant degree of higher/postgraduate education, they are enrolled in preparatory courses according to the programs developed by the University.

3. Arrival in Ukraine to study in a due term 
In order to arrive on time to study at Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law, you need to:
For citizens of countries with a visa regime for entry into Ukraine: submit a package of documents for opening a long-term (student) visa (type D visa) to the Embassy of Ukraine in your country (if there is no Ukrainian embassy in your country, please note that the country of visa is specified in the invitation to study). Requirements for documents and the procedure for applying to the embassy to open a visa should be clarified on the website of the Embassy of Ukraine in your country. In addition to the documents required to open a visa, the original invitation to study in Ukraine must be submitted to the Embassy of Ukraine. 
For citizens of countries with a visa-free regime for entry into Ukraine: have the original invitation to study when crossing the state border to confirm the purpose of entry into Ukraine
Inform Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law about your planned date of arrival in Ukraine, flight number of the vehicle. Such information is necessary for the meeting of a foreign citizen by a representative of the University and his / her subsequent escort from the checkpoint across the state border to our educational institution.
4. Obtaining a temporary residence permit in Ukraine
A temporary residence permit (hereinafter referred to as the Permit) is a document proving the identity of a foreigner or a stateless person and confirming the legal grounds for temporary residence in Ukraine.
To obtain a temporary residence permit in Ukraine, foreign citizens must submit the following documents to the educational department for work with foreign students:
• Application;
• International passport with visa "D", unless otherwise provided by the legislation and international treaties of Ukraine, and also copies of personal data and visa pages; 
•    The passport pages with personal data translated into Ukrainian and certified by a notary or language bureau;
•    Receipts for payment of the state fee;
•    Health insurance policy (for the entire training period).

A temporary residence permit in Ukraine is issued for the entire period of training.
The University provides support in the preparation of the package of documents and timely submission of documents for obtaining a permit.

Duration of full-time education is 3 years and 10 months

Admission of foreigners and persons without citizenship to a Master’s Degree:

Duration of full-time education is 1 year and 6 months
